This includes initiatives on policy, recognition and rewards, community engagement, support and outreach, and infrastructure. The picture below shows an overview of the different activities of the Open Science Program, some of which are collaborations with the VU Library Research Support Team.
The Embassy of Good Science
The Embassy of Good Science is an online wiki platform dedicated to research ethics and integrity. Its goal is to assist researchers in maintaining high standards of scientific practice by addressing questions such as: What are the principles and standards of good science? How should dilemmas be managed during research? What steps should be taken if misconduct is suspected? And more.
The platform offers relevant guidelines, educational materials, country reports, case studies, and scenarios related to research ethics and integrity. These resources and teaching materials are presented in a clear and easily understandable manner.
The wiki format allows users to create and edit content, as well as link related resources throughout the platform. Users can log in using an ORCiD account.
